Moriane Winery

Our name, Moraine, is derived from the geological term for the glaciated white clay buffs that comprise the breathtaking Naramata Bench. Also known as “boulder clay“, Moraine is a deposit of clay which is formed beneath glaciers and ice-sheets during the Glacial Period in North America, specifically, in the Okanagan Valley as we know it today.

In result, these glaciated white clay cliffs comprise the wondrous Naramata Bench and inspire the winery’s land-formed name.
